Hollis Park Judo Program
Judo at the Hollis Park District offers fitness, confidence and discipline.
Hollis Park Judo is conducted by George Weers; black belt 6th degree. George is a certified Master Coach, has 45 years Judo experience, has Coached at the US Olympic Training Center and National Judo Institute, directed National Training Camps, is Vice-Chairman of the US Judo Association Competitive Development Program and Secretary of the US Judo Association Board of Directors.
No special clothing is required. A sweatshirt and blue jeans is recommended. Judo uniforms may be purchased through the course instructor. Participants are required to register with the United States Judo Association (USJA). USJA registration costs $45 annually.
Judo teaches self-confidence, the basic principles of coordination, balance, falling safely and the techniques of Judo.

After School Youth Judo: Are your youngsters looking for an after school activity other than the Cartoon channel? The Hollis Park District is offering an introductory Judo course for school age boys and girls. Judo at the Hollis Park District offers fitness, confidence and discipline. Youth Judo classes take place Monday and Wednesday afternoons beginning at 4:15 pm, each lesson runs approximately forty-five minutes.
Adult Judo Classes: Adult Judo classes offer fitness, fun and self-confidence. Adult Judo classes are conducted Tuesday mornings from 8am to 9:30am
Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30pm to 8pm.
